How Do I Meet People?

The church is not a place to be a spectator in the pews; this is especially true right now while we are being the church outside the building. As a part of the Sierra Pines Family all are invited to take an active part in the missions and ministries at Sierra Pines UMC. It is a place for all types of members. Whether you are a five-year old child or ninety-five years young; a busy parent, or a new retiree; we want you to be a part of our vibrant church family. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow in this community.

Small Group

Small groups of people are the basis for Jesus group of disciples and have always been at the core of Methodism. It provides a way to get to know one another in the church family as well as learn about study topics, organise for service projects, and help in the community than larger groups. For that reason, our church has small Bible studies, Scouting programs, mission small groups, United Methodist Men and United Methodist Women organisations. We offer occasional small group gatherings for teens and adult study in the form of retreats. The size of most small groups is anywhere from six to twenty people. Please reach out to the office if you would like to be connected with a small group at this time and we will gladly share the Zoom login information.

Fellowship Time After Worship
We are currently offering Fellowship/Coffee every Sunday.  In-person fellowship follows worship on the church patio when weather permits.

Join in an event or service project
Also consider volunteering to help with a goods collection or local service project; this is also a great way to get to know the people of the church on the property or in the community.
